HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!

went back to malaysia last saturday morning as like we did every year. different thing this year was that my eldest bro's girlfriend came with us! perfect for mahjong.
there were fireworks as the clock struck twelve and the sky became an instant colour of rainbow, accompanied by auditory 'pleasure' of loud booms and bangs. red crackers were lighted up as a symbolism of prosperity and harmony (i think). we had our fair share of playing with fire crackers and shooting crackers and whatever crackers too!

the first day of the lunar new year saw us playing mahjong for most part of my waking hours. i even got 5 tai once! hahaha shiok. my elder brother owed on RM53 (he had rotten luck the entire day). then some of my cousins came to visit. i was in my super cui home clothes haha.

our family is not on very good terms with my uncle's (my mom's younger brother) family due to some very dumb misunderstanding caused by my unc's wife (yes that woman in a stupid white oriental-looking furry top). yeps but whatever it is, we still hafta step into their house cuz my grandparents are living with them (not being treated very well some more). that woman is a supersuperSUPER stingy person when it comes to my unc's side's family cuz i bet she's not like that with her own singaporean family and relatives. ever since she got married to my unc, for every lunar new year she would give us ang bao RM2.00. 2 friggin' ringgit!!! not even S$1.00. and mind you, their family lives in a big bangalow in malaysia, has houses in singapore, unc graduated from nus chem engine and is working in chem industry now which can fetch quite an amount and wife opens a dont-know-do-what company so tell me, are they simply poor or just plain stingy? i know lah, the amount inside the ang bao is not important because its the thought that counts. as long as got give meaning got blessing already. but my mom and all my aunts are not as well-to-do as them yet they always give RM10 at the very least. even in singapore the market price is S$4!
alright enough about the RM2.00 issue. went to mich's house to bai nian yesterday evening! a shame that jiani cant make it cuz she gotta go her relative's house. we played black jack and in-between! "coerced" mich into gambling with us muahaha. once a year never mind ok michelle. manda's luck was super good. she's always so lucky when it comes to gambling! haha she won 20bucks and i won 5bucks at the end of the day. oh then since manda was winning so much, we attributed her good luck to the goodies that she ate like bak kwa. so at one point mich got "desperate" and started downing bak kwa too hahahaha. damn funny!


reached home around 11pm yesterday which was considered to be early, thanks to ade's dad dropping me off at my house's bus stop.
couldnt wake up for my financial mgt seminar this morning though haha. only went school around 11plus for assignment discussions.
needa do accounting tutorial later. boredom! sending dear mich off to brisbane tomorrow night. she better appreciate the send-off cuz im skipping my accounting make-up lecture for her!
